SAISEI · INSTANT REPLAY · AVAILABLE

See it again

Instant replay for the referees and judges at each mat, so a close call gets a second look before the next match starts. It's for officials only: coaches, athletes and the crowd never see the replay screen.

  • One replay box per mat, at the table, with up to two cameras
  • Follows the bout from Shiai and marks every score on the replay timeline
  • Flag a score to check at the next stoppage
  • Confirm the result before the next match starts, and you can require it
  • Take the whole tournament home on a USB drive: at the end, the director copies every match and score clip over, ready to watch offline

How it works at the mat

  1. Set up the mat. The replay box sits at the table with its cameras on stands, and the table referee opens the replay screen on a Chromebook. No sign-in at the mat.
  2. The bout starts. Saisei follows the match from Shiai and records both camera angles.
  3. A score goes up. Each score lands as a marker on the replay timeline, so nobody scrubs through the whole bout to find it.
  4. A call looks close. Flag it, and review it at the next stoppage: jump to the marker and watch it again, from either camera.
  5. Before the next match. The referee confirms the result. Tournaments can make this a required step.
  6. After the last match. The director copies the day's video to a USB drive to keep.
